I am reading Forbes magazine list of world's most powerful people. Russian president Vladimir Putin at top. On 3rd position a German lady Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany. Also find religious leader Pope Francis. But i am searching the name of secretary General of biggest international co-operation organization United Nations usually known as UNO. Antonio Guterres, former prime minister of Portugal, is the newly elected leader of this council. I find his name at number # 36 that shows actual power of this forum.
United nations is not relevant now a days to solve dispute between nations. I think this organization not true representation of world's population. The most powerful organ of UNO is security council, running by second world war winner countries. Imagine if we restructure this organization on the rules of democratic concept, how it look like !
Today is the era of parliamentary democracy and newly UNO should be like world's parliament whose members elect by voting across the world. Lets think every five years election will on conduct all over the world at same time or may be in different phases. Imagine what will be agenda and manifesto by candidates in their election campaign. It should be more genuine problems like climate change, international drug mafia, global hunger and off course how to manage peace between nations.
